You may remember that Ruby had a grand adventure in the Pecos Wilderness of New Mexico in 2006.

Martha came for a visit. We opened the cabin in the spring, and we closed in the fall.
Paula took a break from acting in 2015. She served in a supporting role instead, as Assistant Stage Manager for "Death of a Salesman" at the Bartell Theatre.

Carl spent a lot of time with the horses.
And he volunteered at Three Gaits, a therapeutic riding center. Paula got out for an occasional trail ride.

Carl was very pleased that one of the horses he helped start became a Madison Mounted police horse. Look for Dr. B on the streets of Madison, helping to stop crime!

Mom sponsored a scholarship program for health science students at Illinois Valley Community College, where Dad completed his first 2 years of pre-med studies.

Mom also donated a bench at Lake Mendota in Dad's memory.

Carl & Paula participated in Make Music Madison.
And they became a Renaissance Lord and Lady for an evening at Prairie
|

P & C spent a week exploring the upper Mississippi River valley. And camping with the Prairie RE folks.
Paula taught a few ESL classes at MATC. She continued to volunteer at Orchard Ridge middle school, help with the men's shelter breakfasts, and with The Road Home dinners and overnights for homeless families. Paula and Carl both volunteered at the Allied Drive food pantry once a month.
Carl taught the Pre-K-1 class at Prairie in the spring, then became a Hogwarts professor to teach the 3-4-5 class in the fall.

He continued to serve as the accompanist for the Prairie choir. Paula sang soprano in the choir. Paula also served as the Prairie Religious Education chair and helped teach the Pre-school class.
